Purelora® SILICONE SCAR THERAPY ROLL

The Surgery May Be Over—But the Scar Can Keep Reminding You

• Raised & Firm
• Red or Discoloured
• Tight, Itchy or Uncomfortable

Ordinary moisturisers can make the skin feel softer temporarily, but they are easily rubbed away and do not provide continuous scar coverage.

Purelora® creates a flexible silicone layer that stays directly over the healed scar—helping maintain the moisture balance needed for gradual, consistent scar care.

Not Just Another Roll of Scar Tape

Real Routines. Real Progress.

“I stopped avoiding the mirror after my C-section.”

My C-section scar had been fully healed for months, but it was still dark, raised and tight—especially when I stretched, exercised or wore fitted jeans. I was also very self-conscious about how noticeable it looked in a bikini.

I cut the silicone roll into long strips and wore one over the scar every day, usually overnight. During the first week, the area started feeling softer and less tight. After several weeks of consistent use, the raised ridge looked flatter, the redness had faded, and the scar blended much better with the surrounding skin.

It hasn’t vanished completely, but the difference is far better than I expected. I finally feel comfortable wearing lower-rise clothes and bikinis again.

“It helped me feel like myself again after my mastectomy.”

After my mastectomy and reconstruction, I was grateful that the surgery was behind me—but the scar underneath my breast was still red, raised and sensitive whenever my bra rubbed against it. Even after the incision had completely closed, the area often felt tight when I reached upward or slept on my side.

Once my surgeon confirmed that the skin was fully healed, I started cutting the silicone roll to match the curved shape of the scar. I wore it beneath my bra during the day and replaced it whenever the edges stopped adhering properly.

Within the first couple of weeks, the scar began feeling softer and less irritated. With continued use, the raised line gradually became flatter and the pink color faded considerably. The scar is still part of my body and my story—but now it doesn’t immediately catch my attention every time I get dressed.

For me, this wasn’t only about appearance. Feeling comfortable in a bra and looking in the mirror without focusing on the scar has made a real difference in my confidence.

“I stopped trying to cover my cheek with makeup.”

After surgery on my cheek, I was left with a raised Y-shaped scar that stayed bright pink and felt tight whenever I smiled or opened my mouth wide. The bruising eventually disappeared, but the scar remained noticeable—even under concealer—and I became very conscious of which side of my face people could see.

Because my scar curved in three different directions, I was worried that a standard strip wouldn’t fit properly. The 1 cm grid on the backing made it surprisingly easy to measure and cut several narrow pieces that followed each section of the scar without covering too much healthy skin. After cutting, I simply peeled away the grid liner and applied the clear silicone strips. I mostly wore them at night because that fitted naturally into my routine.

The first improvement I noticed was that the area felt softer and less tight. With consistent use, the raised edges gradually flattened and the pink colour became much less noticeable. I can still see a faint line when I look closely, but I no longer feel the need to cover my cheek with heavy makeup or turn away from photos.
